THE SAT AND ACT FROM A CHRISTIAN WORLDVIEW?!

None of us can prevent students from being exposed to the secular and humanistic worldview presented in the SAT and ACT. However, most students engage with these exams primarily to improve their scores and increase admissions and scholarship opportunities. Practice materials from various companies unnecessarily reflect these same worldviews while preparing students for success. Not promoting these exams to your students limits their opportunities while promoting them to prepare for these exams seem to conflict with your Christian mission.
I encourage students to dedicate at least 50 hours of study time for the SAT or ACT. I often explain that a small increase in score can lead to significant scholarships. For instance, raising an ACT score by just one point could mean an extra $15,000 per year in renewable scholarships, totaling $60,000 over four years. If that increase comes from 50 hours of prep, it’s equivalent to earning $1,200 per hour—a rate no student would turn down.
Now imagine that same student studies using Biblically integrated materials. Though they’ll face under 3 hours of secular content on test day, they will have spent 16 times that immersed in Christian worldview content—enhancing both their academic performance and spiritual growth. This aligns perfectly with the mission of a Christian school.
Because your students are already grounded in a Christian worldview, using Biblically integrated materials gives them a familiar framework for mastering difficult concepts. Educational research proves that familiar associations improve retention of difficult concepts, making learning more effective and efficient.
That’s why 4C has developed a curriculum and resources that align with your school’s Christian mission. Our materials are built on seven key Christian-based learning components:
